Part-Time Role at RECmint | Posted December 8, 2025

About RECmint

RECmint is the fastest-growing SREC aggregator in the mid-Atlantic.

Solar Renewable Energy Certificates, or SRECs, have proven to be a vital policy tool and financial incentive to make the clean energy transition happen. SRECs simultaneously align individuals, utilities, and government toward reaching our climate goals while also making solar financially feasible for many more homeowners, business, and asset owners.

We’re creating a customer-centric organization that makes SRECs easy for our partners and solar owners. Through our platform and market-friendly approach, we aim to help accelerate the clean energy transition.

About the role

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys untangling complex problems and wants to be part of a mission-driven team tackling climate change.

As an Operations Specialist, you’ll work behind the scenes to resolve the more technical or detail-heavy steps of SREC registration. You’ll be part investigator, part systems thinker, and part steady problem-solver, helping ensure every customer gets set up accurately.

You’ll coordinate by email and phone with solar installers, state agencies, utilities, and other partners to resolve discrepancies, track down missing information, and keep registrations moving. Your day-to-day will mix troubleshooting data issues, reviewing documents, fixing edge-case problems, and escalating patterns that need process or product improvements.

Who should apply

We’re looking for someone who communicates with clarity, kindness, and patience, even when dealing with complex or technical details. You should be highly organized and self-motivated, able to manage multiple cases and follow-ups without requiring constant direction. If you’re the kind of person who notices small inconsistencies, follows through reliably, and stays calm when things get messy, you’ll thrive here.

We value curiosity and a willingness to learn. You don’t need a deep technical background, but you should feel comfortable digging into unfamiliar issues, untangling incomplete information, and navigating digital tools like spreadsheets and CRM systems. Above all, you should care about doing meaningful work, whether you’re driven by climate action, operational excellence, or simply the joy of helping others succeed.

We hope that you’re:

  • A clear, patient communicator who can explain details simply when needed

  • Reliable and self-directed. You can juggle follow-ups, document outcomes, and track details without micromanagement

  • Excited to learn new tools and technology. We will teach you our specific tools and software, but you do need to have a base level of comfort with tech and a willingness to learn.

  • Passionate about nature and/or renewable energy. Environmental stewardship is part of our team’s DNA.

This role will report to Daniel Willson, Director of Operations.

We care about what you've learned throughout the course of your life, and we believe the best candidates will have learned relevant job skills in a wide variety of ways. We’re excited to evaluate candidates from nontraditional educational or professional backgrounds.

We also encourage Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual (LGBTQIA+) folks, disabled people, and all people with non-dominant identities to apply.
