Open Roles at RECmint
Part-Time: 15-25 Hours/Week
About RECmint
RECmint is the fastest-growing SREC aggregator in the mid-Atlantic.
Solar Renewable Energy Certificates, or SRECs, have proven to be a vital policy tool and financial incentive to make the clean energy transition happen. SRECs simultaneously align individuals, utilities, and government toward reaching our climate goals while also making solar financially feasible for many more homeowners, business, and asset owners.
We’re creating a customer-centric organization that makes SRECs easy for our partners and solar owners. Through our platform and market-friendly approach, we aim to help accelerate the clean energy transition.
About the Role
This is a great opportunity for someone who loves helping people and wants to be part of a mission-driven team tackling climate change.
As a Customer Outreach Specialist, you’ll reach out to solar owners who need help completing one or more key steps in their SREC registration. You’ll spend most of your time placing outbound calls, answering emailed questions, tracking responses, and ensuring customers move smoothly through their account setup. Think of it as part guide, part problem-solver, and part brand ambassador.
As needed, you'll also help gather and organize data about potential leads from various public and private databases and resources.
Who Should Apply
We’re looking for someone who communicates with clarity, kindness, and patience—someone who enjoys talking to people from all walks of life and takes pride in making things easy to understand. You should be highly organized and self-motivated, able to manage multiple conversations and follow-ups without requiring constant direction. If you’re the kind of person who notices small details, follows through reliably, and stays calm under pressure, you’ll thrive in this role.
We value curiosity and a willingness to learn. You don’t need to be a tech expert, but you should feel comfortable navigating digital tools like email, spreadsheets, and CRM systems—and be excited to pick up new ones. Above all, you should care about doing meaningful work, whether you’re driven by climate action, operational excellence, or simply the joy of helping others succeed.
We hope that you’re:
A patient, kind, and clear communicator. You like talking to people and making things simple
Reliable and self-directed. You can juggle follow-ups, document outcomes, and track details without micromanagement
Excited to learn new tools and technology. We will teach you our specific tools and software, but you do need to have a base level of comfort with tech and a willingness to learn.
Passionate about nature and/or renewable energy. Environmental stewardship is part of our team’s DNA.
This role will report to Kathleen Voss, Customer Success Manager.
No college degree is required and there are no required number of years of experience. We care about what you've learned throughout the course of your life, and we believe the best candidates will have learned relevant job skills in a wide variety of ways. We’re excited to evaluate candidates from nontraditional educational or professional backgrounds.
We welcome all applicants, regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, ability or gender identity—and encourage Black, Indigenous, and non-Black people of color (BIPOC) to apply. We also encourage Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual (LGBTQIA+) folks, disabled people, and all people with non-dominant identities to apply.
Work Hours & Compensation
This is a part-time, hourly role with a pay range of $35–$40 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Expected hours are 15-25 hours per week, largely during typical business hours (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm).
You’ll be a W-2 employee and a valued member of our team, with meaningful opportunities to grow alongside the business.
The target start date for this role is the second or third week of August 2025, so please apply quickly. A minimum 3 month commitment is expected from all candidates, though we'd ideally like to work with the right person in an ongoing capacity.
